Last of the 356 line, the SC has more upright lights, bigger bumpers and fewer curves
Interior is more lavishly equipped. Seats are very comfortable and the dash has all the VDO gauges you would want. The hood is superb and allows for quiet closed motoring.
Thanks to a hotter cam and bigger Solex carbs, the SC’s 1600 cranks out
95bhp. Not a lot but it gives the SC more energy than earlier 356s. This model is superb to drive on the road.
It’s best to leave convertible 356s in original tune as they are all about relaxed open motoring. Coupes can handle more power and can be made to go incredibly quickly.
