One of the most desirable 356s in the world, this Carrera 2 is a thinly disguised out-and-out road racer
Wood-rimmed steering wheel might look out of place but it is the correct fitting. Glovebox lid was deleted for lightness. Bucket seats are superb and rubber floor matting functional.
Carrera badge is only fitted to very special 356s. Four-cam engines started as 1 5-litre, went to 1.6 and then 2.0-litre. This car is running a 2.0-lit re twin-plug push rod engine.
Lightweight wheels are mounted on Porsche-designed annular disc brakes. Apparently Porsche was too tight to pay for Dunlop discs so he made his own.
Dunlop discs are better.
